We are hiring 2 PhD students and 2 Research Leaders in our Demonstrator Programme.
CogniGron, the University of Groningen’s leading centre for neuromorphic computing, aims to bridge the gap between cutting-edge science and real-world impact. In our demonstrator programme, we are working to turn CogniGron’s brain-inspired breakthroughs into tangible applications: prototypes, proofs of concept and potentially, spin-offs.
The first PhD project (Sensors for Neuromorphic Touch in Adaptive Robotic Grasping) is aimed at developing a sensorized, touch-based control system for a robotic gripper together with our industrial partner. In the second PhD project (Neuromorphic sensing & control for bionic lower limbs), the successful candidate will collaborate with biomedical researchers and other stakeholders to develop prosthetic limbs with faster control and real-time adaptation.
We are also looking for two Research Leaders (CogniGron Demonstrator programme on Neuromorphic Computing) to help bridge the gap between cutting-edge science and real-world impact. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for developing the demonstrator projects. Your mission? Co-design with industry, translate use cases into scientific research, and show the world what future-proof technology can do!
🌍 Why join us?
You’ll work at the frontier of innovation, surrounded by top researchers and real-world stakeholders.
